The Q-Ultra comes with one of six panels. These aren’t as nice or as high-quality as the panels on the DNA GO or Orion DNA Plus, but that’s almost to be expected seeing as the Q-Ultra is part of Lost Vape’s lower-end ‘Quest’ line. I received the “Leather Black” panel for this review and it looks just okay. There’s no mistaking this panel for real leather — it looks and feels tacky.

Overall I’m not impressed by the build quality on the Q-Ultra. Again, it’s part of the cheaper ‘Quest’ line but I expected it to be much better built.

The airflow control is located on the pod just underneath the drip tip. The airflow is easy to adjust but stays where it’s set. Closing the airflow restricts the draw a bit, down to a tighter but still loose MTL draw.

The Q-Ultra comes with two coils: 

a MTL round wire 1.0ohm coil (Rated for 8-15W)

a DL mesh 0.6ohm coil (Rated for 20-28W)

The 0.6ohm coil is a slightly restricted direct lung draw which goes down to a more restricted direct lung draw by closing the airflow.

You can also purchase separately a 0.3ohm coil and an RBA coil. I did not manage to get my hands on the RBA but I did get a 0.3ohm coil to test out.

So what’s Berserker V2?

The Berserker V2 MTL RDA is a 22mm diameter RDA, compared to the somewhat skinny 18mm original. This means there are obviously no beauty rings this time round to make it look like a 22mm.

It also has a far shorter appearance, measuring 24mm tall without the drip tip.

One reason for the increased diameter is that Vandy Vape has created a ‘dual shell chamber design’ which allows for a smaller dome to further improve flavor output.

The most significant noticeable difference is with the airflow design. The V2 has just a singular airflow inlet, and instead of using the rather fiddly and annoying airflow sticks, this time they are small inlet plugs that slide into the main airflow slot.

This is obviously a single-coil 22mm diameter 1.5ml capacity MTL RDA that comes with x4 different sized airflow inserts.

The change in build deck and airflow inlets looks like it will make it an easier RDA to deal with, but some may miss being able to control the way the airflow hits the coil from beneath.

Whether all of that makes a difference to the performance of the RDA, and if the dual shell chamber design’ actually improves flavor….we’ll have to wait and see.
